Sunset

Sunset

The dimly fading sun, pinkish against the lilting cloud, conceals the fading vibrancy of an omniscient, soulful blue.

As the sky makes its transition from opal to ash, but before it sparkles like compressed carbon, half the world is paying too close attention to the aftermath of the newly departed.

From pink, to wilting purple, and orange, the distraction seems too much. So much, in fact, that darkness seems to have pounced like a creeping, stalking creature.
